The ie&t hackathon takes place on November 21 and 22, 2026 at Beauchef 851, Santiago. 32 hours to turn an idea into a prototype. You can apply alone or in a team of up to 4 students.

The event is for high school students from schools in the network. Contact us if your school is not yet connected. No coding experience is required; projects can involve software, hardware, business or social impact.

Planned working meetings would let students share project updates, get feedback, find teammates and work on ideas. Meetings would also include opportunity sharing and agreed next steps, so students can keep their projects moving between sessions.

Planned conversations with invited speakers about developing ventures and initiatives that create change. Students could ask questions about turning ideas into projects and solving problems beyond school.

Proposed preparation sessions would explore challenges in technology, entrepreneurship, science and social impact, then help students prepare ideas and presentations as a team. Entering a competition depends on its requirements and the team's preparation.

A planned showcase would give students a chance to present completed work or prototypes, explain what the team learned and receive feedback.
